FINNEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on felony charges after a weekend arrest.
Just after 9:30 a.m. Oct. 15., police checked a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of S. 3rd Street in Garden City, according to a media release.
Officers made contact with 40-year-old Elliot Schuckman and 44-year-old Claudia Astudillo both of Scott City.
After further investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted, where suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. Schuckman and Astudillo were arrested at the scene. A 1-year-old child who was in the vehicle during the incident was taken into Police Protective Custody.
Schuckman and Astudillo remain in the Finney County Jail on requested charges of Aggravated Child Endangerment, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
