Mary Ellen Moyer, 69, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS. Mary was born June 23, 1954, in Wausau, WI, the daughter of Joan (Thanig) Jeffery. On April 26, 1975, she married Lairen Moyer in LaSalle, Il.
Mary graduated from Wisconsin Rapids, WI and was a cashier at Piggly Wiggly in Platteville, WI. In 1978, Mary was an active member of the Mothers of Twins Club in Columbus, NE and in 1981 she was the co-founder of Mothers of Twins Club in Minot, ND. Mary loved to bowl, putting jigsaw puzzles together and visits from her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Minot, ND where she taught Sunday School.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Joani; a brother, John Guillaume; and a nephew, Mike Cumberland.
Survivors include her husband, Lairen; children, Joe (Ann) Moyer of Rochester, MN and Christy (Ray) Hare of Hutchinson, KS; a brother, Ralph Guillaume of Nekoosa, WI; four sisters, Susie Cumberland, Shari Reany both of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Patricia (Dan) Heyl of Shoreline, WA, and Jo An Taylor of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; two grandchildren, Emily and Jacob Hare of Hutchinson, KS and several nieces and nephews.
Per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements and care entrusted to Hutchinson Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
