HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The unemployment rate in Reno County fell for the month of April.
According to the Kansas Department of Labor, the jobless rate for the county fell one half of one percent to 3.2%. The jobless rate for the same period in 2020 was 11.1%.
There were 960 county residents out of work. In Hutchinson the jobless rate was also down half a percentage point to 3.6%. 674 city residents were out of work. In may of 2020, 12% of Hutchinson residents were out of work.
