
Charles “Mark” Ebeling, 63, died peacefully with his family by his side, February 21, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born August 12, 1962, in Hutchinson, to Charles Louis and Shirley (Mock) Ebeling.
Mark graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1980, and Hutchinson Community College in 1982. He was Vice-President and Service Manager for Ebeling Pools, Inc. Mark enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and refinishing furniture and antiques and also served as a board member for Hutchinson Zoo for several years.
While in high school, he played baritone for one summer with the Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps. Mark loved to talk about that summer, describing his experience as “the best summer I ever had”. His best times later in life were traveling to Alabama, making memories with his five grandchildren.
On October 4, 1986, he married Lorry Albright, in Hutchinson.
Mark is survived by: his mother, Shirley Brandyberry of Hutchinson; wife of almost 40 years, Lorry Ebeling of Hutchinson; children, Ashley Griffith (Robert) of Prattville, AL, Jessica Miller (Adam), and Chase Ebeling, all of Hutchinson; siblings, Cheryl Riemann (Gene) of South Hutchinson, Marcia Trebilcock (Greg) of Wichita, Cindy Childs (Glen) of Hutchinson, Bill Ebeling (Brenda) of Buhler, and Terri Banker (Terry Bether) of Inman; grandchildren, Meg Houts, Brandon Griffith, Austin Griffith, Connor Griffith, and Elizabeth Griffith, all of Alabama; mother-in-law, Claudia Albright of Pretty Prairie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ebeling; stepmother, Betty Ebeling; stepfather, Ardon Brandyberry; and father-in-law, Eugene Albright.by
Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, at Elliott Chapel with the Reverend Christine Kass officiating. Inurnment will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, KS. Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 9:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
