Nola Fae Moore, 88, of Hutchinson, died July 26, 2024, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, in Wichita. She was born July 29, 1935, in Ross, IA, to LeRoy R. and Fae L. (Voorhees) Badders.
A Hutchinson resident for many years, Nola graduated from Sydney’s Hairdressing College and worked as a machinist at Eaton Corp. for 25 years. She loved hunting, fishing, camping, her Golden Sneakers group, and dancing at the Senior Center at Elmdale Park. But most of all, Nola loved spending time with her family.
In 1981, she married Kermit Moore, in California. He died in 1987.
Nola is survived by: her daughters, Patreese Kelly-Surran of Alburquerque, NM, Pam Downing (Jeff) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jordan Proffitt (Tyler) of McPherson, Carter Downing of Hutchinson, Conor Surran, Sean Surran, Deven Surran, all of Alburquerque, NM; sisters, Frances Evans of Hutchinson, Margaret Miles of Lincoln, KS, Ellen Milewski (Stanley) of Rayford, NC; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; children, Cindy Hercules, Lorraine Hercules, James Kelly; siblings, William Badders and Martha Amarose.
Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, July 29 thru August 3, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary.
