
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — KDOT recently announced bids for three major projects in the area.
The first is for the mill and overlay of more than 23 miles of K-42 in Kingman County from the Pratt county line east to the K-14 junction. APAC Shears of Hutchinson will do the work at a cost of $5.5 million.
The second project is in Pratt County where APAC of Hutchinson will mill and overlay another nine miles of K-42 from the Kingman county line west to U.S. 281 junction in that county at a cost of $2.04 million.
The third project in the area is in Rice County, which will involve replacing a bridge on K-14 over Cow Creek. King Construction of Hesston will do the project with a bid of $4.3 million.
