NEWTON, Kan. — The MasterBrand cabinet plant in Newton is closing.
This is the latest closure for the company and will happen December 15.
The company employs 450 people in Newton. Employees were told of the closing on Monday.
The company has also closed a plant in Lynchburg, Virginia this fall.
Company officials cite a softening in the housing market as a reason for reduced demand for products manufactured in Newton.
