HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened to harm his co-workers at a Hutchinson business.
Hutchinson police detained 24-year-old Andrew Patterson during a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon after law enforcement received information that Patterson had made the threatening comments.
During the stop, police found detailed plans in Patterson’s vehicle to carry out an act of mass violence against the employees. A search warrant was executed at his residence where additional evidence related to the plan was collected.
Patterson was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic terrorism. His bond has been set at $3,000,000. Formal charges are pending and the investigation continues.
