
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — With the end of the Kansas State Fair now almost two weeks gone, health officials will be watching to see if the great Kansas get-together will skew COVID numbers in the state and in Reno County.
As of Friday, the positive case count was down to 540 and has been hovering around 540 to 560 for the past week.
In Reno County schools, the 14-day incident rate per 100,000 students is sitting at 593 after hitting a high of 865 per 100,000 students Sept 2. The positive test rate is currently at 15.3%, down from 20% Aug. 30.
There have been 158 deaths reported in the county.
