COVID cases jump by 37 in past three days

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The number of COVID cases in the county continues to increase. As of Aug. 3, the number of positive cases has jumped to 118. That's 37 more cases in just the past three days. It’s the highest since Feb. 28.

Currently, there are six patients in the hospital. The death toll from the pandemic is holding at 144.

The Reno County Health Department is still holding vaccination clinics Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until noon, then again from 1 until 6 p.m. Vaccinations are also available Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon, and 1 until 6 p.m. All three vaccines are available.
