HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson USD 308 Board of Education on Monday will look at contracts for USD 308 to provide certain limited services to the Reno County Education Cooperative.
Jessica Engelland told the board in agenda documents that there are three contracts for Hearing, Speech, and Vision Services. USD 308 staff will provide these services to RCEC. The district's business office will then bill RCEC monthly according to each contract.
USD 308 has had difficulty hiring for these positions and this year the district was fortunate to find an additional speech applicant. The contracts as presented will allow USD 308 to not pay out any additional dollars but still have staff in the event that someone leaves.
The speech contract is for a little over $18,000, with the hearing and vision contracts on an hourly rate.
