HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The state mask mandate may be a thing of the past in Reno County after action was taken by the County Commission.
Still, if you want to do business in the county offices, you’ll need to mask up. The county said in a release that, while at the courthouse, masks will still be required in district court areas and at the public entrance.
The Annex will also encourage visitors to wear masks and increased sanitization efforts at all county locations will continue.
The use of masks, hand washing, social distancing, along with vaccination, are still the best measures for mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
After saying they would address it at the end of the month, commissioners approved lifting the mandate on a 2-1 vote.
