Jazz group performs in House of Capper at Kansas State Fair

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Great Plains Jazz Orchestra performed live at the House of Capper on Wednesday night of the Kansas State Fair. 

The jazz orchestra was the first group to perform in the House of Capper following its rebuild. The orchestra is led by Keith Worley who sang and played the drums for the live performance.

In total, the group is composed of seven members. Their evening performance featured jazz and swing versions of hit songs. The group played "Gimme Some Lovin" by the Spencer Davis Group, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen, "Save the Last Dance by Michael Bublé and many other tunes.

The Great Plains Jazz Orchestra has been around for more than 20 years. They also perform at festivals, concerts, clubs, dances and weddings. The group also toured with the Wichita Grand Opera company.
