The City of Hutchinson will host a public meeting Thursday evening to gather community input on the future of Memorial Hall. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Memorial Hall and is open to all residents.

The meeting will follow an interactive, come-and-go format, allowing attendees to review information and provide feedback at their own pace. City officials say this structure is intended to give everyone an equal opportunity to participate without the need to speak publicly.

• Sell or lease the building to a private developer

• Demolish the structure and replace it with a public green space

• Continue current operations with no major upgrades

• Consider alternative suggestions from the public

City staff and council members will be on hand throughout the evening to answer questions and listen to feedback. Input will be collected through sticky notes, comment cards, and voting stations.

All community feedback will be compiled into a public report. The City Council will review the results as it weighs next steps for Memorial Hall.
