
There may be some safety net help on the way for farmers if a bill passes both chambers and President Trump.
It's named the Farmer Act, and it stands for "Federal Agriculture Risk Management Enhancement and Resilience". There are several Senators that have come up with this, and one of them is Kansas Senator Roger Marshall. If signed into law, it would strengthen crop insurance and increase levels of coverage at more affordable prices.

It would also drop the requirement for choosing either the PLC or ARC programs, which should allow for more flexibility. Almost 100% percent of the major farm organizations support the idea.
