
Randy Ray Campbell, 65, of Goessel, Kansas, passed away after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Bethesda Home. He was born April 2, 1958 in Goessel, the son of Earl R. and June J. (Bergman) Campbell.
He graduated from Goessel High School with the class of 1977. Randy later attended tech school in Salina for autobody work.
Randy worked at Don’s Car Care in Hutchinson and other autobody shops.
Randy loved camping, fishing, and enjoyed country western music. He and his mother, June, would often go to auctions together and loved attending the Bluegrass festival in Winfield. He would often collect old ceramic crocks, kerosene lamps and candy dishes. Randy was an artist and was a talented woodcarver, furniture restorer and was great at drawing. His artistry was also shown in his love for restoring cars. He loved horses and was a member of the American Paint Horse Association. Randy enjoyed playing pitch and pinochle.
He is survived by his mother, June Campbell of Goessel; daughter, Billie Jo Burnett of Hutchinson; son, Kyle Campbell of Hutchinson; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; five siblings, Rhonda (Jim) Ewertz of Sterling, Rick (Connie) Campbell of Canton; Rita (John) Krehbiel of Ottawa, Roger (Marla) Campbell of Goessel, and Robyn Campbell of Goessel; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Randy was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Campbell; father; and one nephew and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 27, 2023 at Spring Valley Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, November 26 at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Goessel, with family greeting friends from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Home or Parkinson’s Foundation in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 96, Goessel, KS 67053.
