Jane Rosalie Brunsell  |1945-2022|

Jane Rosalie Brunsell, 77, of Lindsborg passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Bethany Home of Lindsborg. Jane was born January 10, 1945 in Lindsborg, to the late James W and the late Emeline (Rosander) Brunsell.

Jane was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church, volunteering for the churches different organizations. She also sang in the Messiah Choir for many years. Jane belonged to numerous genealogy and stamp collecting clubs.

Jane graduated high school and secretarial school at Brown-Mackie College. She worked for a while as a secretary and bookkeeper at various places. She was also the longtime local rural mail carrier. Jane was one of the first registered EMTs in Lindsborg and volunteered with EMS until 2016. She also held numerous odd jobs throughout the Lindsborg community. She was the sexton and caretaker for Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg for many years. She also did sexton work for Smoky Hill Cemetery and Rose Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her brother: Keith W. Brunsell (Joyce) of Lindsborg; niece: Rachel McCullick (David) of Falun; nephew: Scott Brunsell (Alison) of McPherson; niece: Kelsey Brunsell (Nick Miller) of Canton.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents and beloved friend: Charlotte Ternstrom.

Cremation has been chosen. The family will greet friends at visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 320 N. Main St., Lindsborg, with Pastor Chris Deines officiating. Inurnment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
