PRATT, Kan. — U.S. 54 will be getting some major renovations under a series of construction projects announced by KDOT Wednesday.
U.S. 54 in Pratt County between Cullison and Wellsford will see extended passing lanes. That work on the highway extends into Meade and Kiowa counties as well. Total cost of the projects in U.S. 54 is around $20 million.
The projects announced today will also rehabilitate and add shoulders on a portion of K-156 in Hodgeman County and add passing lanes or extend existing passing lanes on parts of U.S. 50 in Ford and Edwards counties.
The projects announced today in Dodge City are currently scheduled to be let in 2023.
