NEWTON, Kan. — Street crews will collect and recycle real Christmas trees Jan. 2, 8 and 22.
Trees must be placed at the curb with all lights, ornaments and tree stands removed. Artificial trees will not be collected. Trees can also be taken directly to the Harvey County Rodeo Grounds, 700 W. First St.
Free mulch will be available beginning Jan. 26 at the Rodeo Grounds. You must bring your own containers to transport the mulch.
Tree pickup service is free through Jan. 22. Any trees placed after that date will require a $10 bulky-item pickup.
