John Robert Haney, 78, went to be with Jesus on July 1, 2025. Born February 12, 1948 to Ann Haney in Eldorado, Illinois.
He was in the Army and served in Vietnam. He attended Chattanooga Bible College in Tennessee.
He moved to Hutchinson, Kansas in 1979.
Survivors include son Caleb, Newton; son, Philip Haney, Austin, Texas; son Johnny Haney, Austin, Texas; Joshua Haney (Sierra), Hutchinson; daughter Rachel Haney (Jake), Hutchinson; special adoptive daughter Cheyenne Taapken, Hutchinson; sister Sandra Bennett, Hutchinson; and 15 grandkids.
Preceded in death by mother Ann Haney; brother Jim Haney; sister Phyliss Fletcher; grandson Camryn Haney; nephew Nathan Bennett.
Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
