Miriam Grace Bailey, 96, died November 13, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.  She was born October 21, 1927, to Theodore Brown and Dolly (Widup) Brown.

Miriam was a graduate of Kingman High School, Kingman, KS, and Salt City Business College, Hutchinson, KS.  She was a bookkeeper at Kingsley-Wagner Motor Supply Company, Hutchinson, KS, retiring with 25 years of service.  Miriam was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, South Hutchinson, KS.

On October 18, 1947, she married Nathan William Bailey in Kingman, KS.  They shared over 58 years of marriage, prior to his death on February 3, 2006.

Miriam is survived by:  her daughters, Barbara Wroe, Jan Bailey, and Tammy (Randy) Augustine; brother, Duane Brown; grandchildren, Kyle (Emily) Green, Casey Green, Cheryl (Nord) Huseby, Holly Sticka, Brice (Chris) Wroe, Jeremy (Lori) Augustine, and Corey Augustine; and great-grandchildren, Angel (Carlo Earl) Sticka, Paris Sticka, Grace Huseby, Madyson Green, Kellen Green, Makynzie Green, Julia Wroe, Alex Wroe, Brysen Augustine, Camden Augustine, and Landen Augustine.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband; brother, Bob Brown; and sister, Shirley Green.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Elliott Mortuary Chapel.  Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman, KS.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.  The funeral service can be viewed online beginning at 9:45 a.m. on the day of the service by going to Miriam’s obituary on the Elliott Mortuary website and clicking on the link located at the end of the obituary.
