Gary D. ‘GG’ Graves, 64, died May 18, 2023, at his home, in Hutchinson. He was born June 2, 1958, in Wichita, to Duane E. Graves and Beverly K. Graves.
Gary graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1976 and went on to be an electrician for many years. In his career, he taught at IBEW and eventually opened G&G Electric. During that time, his passion of motocross led him to owning G&G Cycle, as well as a partnership in owning and operating Prairie Pups Motorcycle Club, in Hutchinson. Gary continued to ride vintage all over the U.S., bringing home many first-place trophies.
Gary was a loving father, and will be missed by many.
Gary is survived by: his daughters, Tessy (Fred) Salisbury, Castle Rock, CO, Melinda Graves, Hutchinson, Samantha (Kelly) Edgar, Hutchinson, Taylor Graves, Eudora, and Kenzie Graves, Eudora; granddaughter, Karter Banker, Hutchinson; mother, Beverly Graves, Dallas, TX; and caring friend, Kim Kienzle, Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Graves.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Celebration of Life reception will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Salt City Brewing Company, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
