
Leslie Green, 90, died February 28, 2023, at his daughter’s home in Albuquerque, NM. He was born June 12, 1932, in Lenapah, OK, to Willis Ray and Susie Belle (Shufeldt) Green.
Leslie served in the United States Army and was called to duty in the Korean War in Battery A: 145th Anti-Artillery Battalion, 45th Infantry “Thunderbird” Division. He was a citizen of the Shawnee and Cherokee Tribe and a life member of the VFW. In Leslie’s early years, he worked at Collingwood Grain Elevator. He then found his career path working for Blick Sales and retiring with City Beverage. Everyone seemed to know and love him. Leslie enjoyed taking walks and met practically everyone in the neighborhood. He was especially fond of playing card games and could sit for hours playing his favorite game, “Domino’s”.
On November 22, 1952, he married Pauline Emmajean “Jeanne” Frantz, in Lenapah, OK, and they shared over 70 years of marriage. Leslie and Jeanne settled in Hutchinson, Kansas where they raised two daughters (Lesley and Sandra) before moving to Partridge, KS where they retired. Unfortunately, illnesses began in 2014, which required they move to live with their daughter, Sandy and son-in-law, Gary in Albuquerque, NM.
Leslie is survived by: his loving wife, Jeanne Green; daughter, Sandy and Gary Guerrero, all of Albuquerque, NM; his grandson, Cody McAdams, Cody’s wife Bree and his great-grand-daughters, Jaidence, Colbi and Paxton of Maricopa, AZ; his twin brother Lawrence Green of Vanita, OK; and sister, Carolyn Foster of Lenapah, OK.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Bill and Susie; a sister, Carol Faye Green; and eldest daughter, Lesley J. Hiebert.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Sheridan Irick officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
