Harold Johnson, 90, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Pine Village. He was born on August 6, 1933 in Goessel, Kansas, to Jesse and Vada (Schafer) Johnson.
He was a member of the Lone Tree Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Galva, Kansas.
Harold was united in marriage to Thelma Nightingale on September 6, 1953. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2015.
He was a lifelong farmer; worked at AGCO in Hesston for many years; and maintained roads in Lone Tree township.
Harold is survived by his sons, Gavin (Donnalee) Johnson of Texhoma, TX, and Steven (Jill) Johnson of Galva; daughters, Beverly (Dave) Unruh of Scott City and Melanie (John) Schmidt of Wellington, CO; one brother, Doyle Johnson of Moundridge; twelve grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Gabriel Johnson; and brothers, Don and Charles Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Lone Tree Mennonite Church, Galva. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 4, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the church.
