NEWTON, Kan. — Crews spent the early morning hours on the I-135/East First Street overpass after a car collided with the rear of a stalled semi, which was loaded with cows.
One patient declined hospital transport after the incident and the cows appeared unharmed.
Northbound I-135 is currently closed to traffic although there is a convenient detour with off/on ramps nearby.
Expect congestion and use extra caution if your early morning commute takes you through the area.
