USD 308 explains comment procedure for Monday meeting

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Public Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Monday, May 15, 2023, to discuss proposed solutions to the teacher shortage within the district. 

The special meeting will be held at Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy located at 800 15th Circle at 6:00 p.m. There will be time allotted for public participation.

USD 308’s policy for addressing the board is as follows:

Parents/Guardians and Taxpayers of USD 308 who desire to address the board on any topic related to board work are welcome to do so at this time. Speakers are requested to limit their remarks to not more than 5 minutes, to appoint a spokesperson if the concern is a group concern, and to supplement verbal presentations with written reports, if necessary or desired.

Public comments critical of an individual are not acceptable. Please note the board will listen to public comment, but will not respond. The board may direct the superintendent to follow up at a later date on questions asked or concerns raised.
