HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Nickerson-South Hutchinson USD 309 Board of Education will go over the district's needs assessment in a special work session at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the district office.
The board will discuss an analysis of 2023 state assessment scores, accountability reports, attendance data, ACT/Pre-ACT Scores and community demographics.
The board will then engage in a Root Cause Analysis Activity, designed to identify causes of low achievement in the district and to determine what can be done to improve at the building, district and BOE level, respectively.
The Board will then go into regular session at 6 p.m. Monday and part of their regular agenda will be a calendar of events for the Series 2023 General Obligation Bonds that were approved by voters in May.
The timeline assumes the Board of Education adopts the authorizing resolution for the sale at the July 10th BOE Meeting.
This is followed by securing final interest rates and adopting the Bond resolution at the August 14th BOE meeting.
This allows for the closing of the Series 2023 Bond Issue on August 31st.
Both meetings will take place at the USD 309 District office at 4501 West 4th.
