HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Prairie Hills Middle School recently hosted the Patriot League West Division League Math Relays.
The contest consisted of six teams: Prairie Hills, Wellington, Clearwater, Mulvane, Haysville West, and Rose Hill.
Students took an 80 question timed computation test and an 80 timed question problem solving test and received points based on how many problems they had correct.
Both the PHMS 7th and 8th grade teams took first. There were also medals for the top five individuals, which included 7th grade champion Brendan Ronan, runner-up Owen Kneisel and fourth place finisher Asher Zachary. Ben Rusenbark finished in second place for the 8th grade.
