KINGMAN COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 9 p.m. Wednesday in Kingman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chevy Impala driven by Trenton J. Schnittker, 17, Nashville, Kansas was westbound on SW 90th Street 9 miles south of Cunningham.
The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at 170th Avenue and struck a southbound 2010 Chevy Traverse driven by Kayla D. Adams, 34, Medicine Lodge, on the driver side in the intersection.
EMS transported Schnittker to Pratt Regional Medical Center and Adams to Wesley Medical Center. The drivers and a passenger in the SUV were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
One juvenile was present in the SUV; the juvenile record is protected data, according to the KHP.
