HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Formal charges have been filed against a Hutchinson woman who was arrested in a major drug bust last week.
Chelsea Pope faces one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, conspiracy to distribute meth and six counts of using a communication device to commit a felony.
Pope was arrested after a large package was intercepted by the postal service in Wichita. After that, the postal service and the DEU coordinated the delivery and arrested Pope soon after. The package contained more than 10 pounds of meth.
Pope is being held on a bond of $500,000. Her case now goes on the status docket until a preliminary hearing is set or other court action is taken.
