HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Wichita State University Economist Jeremy Hill will be in Hutchinson Feb. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Crystal Ballroom at The Burt for the 2023 Kansas Economic Outlook Conference's Reno County stop.

Debra Teufel with the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce noted that there will be a lot of presenters at the conference.

"This time, it's going to be kind of an extended conference," Teufel said. "He's bringing Dr. Stan Longhofer with the WSU Center for Real Estate, as well. I believe Dr. Longhofer has put together a panel of real estate experts that really are specific to Reno County and this region."

There will also be HR professionals from across Reno County industry reporting that day.

"We have worked to get a panel of local industry, to kind of get a glimpse at what's really happening in the labor force. We have some directors of operations, from Kuhn Krause, Mr. Lance Knotts is joining us, Christina Nuttman, the Human Resources Manager at Superior Boiler, they've been doing a lot of hiring recently and she's going to give a glimpse as to what's happening over there, Craig Weingartner is the CFO of Wifco Steel Products and if you haven't been out to Wifco lately, they are just going gangbusters and growing and he's going to talk about some of that. Then, Alisa Hardy will be there representing Collins Bus. She is also their Human Resources Business Partner."

Teufel will also give a local update on that day, as well.

Student Tickets are $25, individual tickets are $95.
