HUTCHINSON, Kan. — With the Hutchinson Clinic announcing earlier this summer that they intend to end their contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas at the end of the year regarding employer-sponsored plans, those using Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas Medicare Supplement coverage asked if they were included, too.
According to spokesperson Ashley Jones-Wisner with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, "There is no impact to Medicare Supplement. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas members can go to any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare."
Despite that, as of this writing, there is no deal past the end of the year for employer-sponsored plans between the Hutchinson Clinic and BCBS of Kansas.
