USD 309 could name new superintendent this evening

NICKERSON, Kan. — The Nickerson USD 309 School Board will meet in a special session this evening. The board will go into executive session and is expected to name the new superintendent.

The two finalists interviewed this week were Curtis Nightingale and Greg Clark.

Nightingale currently serves as the junior high/high school principal at Twin Valley USD 240 in Bennington. He is in his fifth year. Previously, Nightingale served as assistant principal/activities director for 10 years at Pratt High School.

Clark is the superintendent for USD 112 Central Plains. He is in his seventh year. Previously, Clark served as an elementary school principal for eight years in USD 402 Augusta.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 8 at the school district offices at 4501 W. 4th.
