HUTCHINSON, Kan. —Fire crews are making headway in dealing with the two wildfires in the county.
According to Reno County Emergency Management, the two task force units from outside Reno County have been sent home and Hutch Fire has a crew on each fire.
Crews spent Tuesday dealing with the large number of burning trees. Most are being cut down so they can be extinguished. A large number of cedar trees have also been removed to try and keep the fire danger down.
Emergency Management says they will probably not call in the National Guard at this time since fire crews have been able to keep things in check.
