HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Mayor Greg Fast sent a statement to Hutch Post Wednesday updating us on the city manager search.
"The council and I learned yesterday the newly hired city manager starting in mid-March was requesting to be released from his contract for personal family reasons," Fast said. "The council was set to approve his contract at an upcoming council meeting. We respect him for his honesty and open communication with the council and have agreed to accommodate him."
"As disappointing as this is, we remain focused on finding the right person for our staff, as well as the citizens of Hutchinson. I have full confidence in our interim city manager Mary Grace Clements and our staff to continue to move Hutchinson forward as we continue our search for a permanent city manager."
