JACKSON COUNTY —Two people died in an accident just before 12:15 a.m. Monday in Jackson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Nadine A Aylesworth, 62, Whiting, was southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S.75 just south of 302 Road. The car struck a northbound 2010 Ford Fusion driven by Heather S K Browning, 18, Goff, head-on.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
