
Margaret A. (Peggy) Flores, 86, of Aransas Pass, Texas passed from this earth on December 1, 2023.
Peggy was born in New York City as the only daughter to Mary and Richard on August 1, 1937. She received her education in New York and New Jersey, as well as Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, Scotland. She married Robert (Bob) Flores in 1954 and they began their family together creating a lifetime of memories and laughter.
Peggy started her professional career as a runner at the New York Stock Exchange and later became a computer instructor for seven years. In 1978, the family migrated to Kansas where she was a payroll manager for 32 years. She lived in Hutchinson and then Olathe until her retirement in 2001. Peggy was a true professional in every aspect and highly regarded by employers and coworkers alike. In 2010, another migration brought Peggy and her loving husband Bob to the Coastal Bend North Bay Area.
Peggy was a fantastic cook and had many hobbies over the years. Her favorite was to knit and crochet, gifting uncountable scarves, afghans, and baby sweaters or blankets to treasure. She was also an avid reader, especially mystery novels. She also enjoyed taking photographs of family and friends at every chance.
Peggy was a wonderful wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother and will be dearly missed by many.
Preceding in death are her parents in New York City and one granddaughter, Leah Cox from Ingleside, Texas.
She is survived by her lover and best friend of 69 years: Bob; their 5 children: Robert Flores (Theresa) from Manhattan, Kansas; Kathleen Schmidt (Cameron) from Ingleside, Texas; Victoria Flores from Aransas Pass, Texas; Sharon Thornhill (David) from Hutchinson, Kansas; and David Flores (Shelia) from Ingleside, Texas. In addition, left to cherish her memories are 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Aransas Pass on December 29, 2023, 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life and gathering will follow the service at The Moose Lodge, Hwy 2725, Aransas Pass, Texas.
