
Ranald Gene Miller, 78, of South Hutchinson, KS, died September 20, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS. He was born March 4, 1945, in Hutchinson, to Edgar and Etta Marie(Yates) Miller.
Ranald attended schools in Partridge and Hutchinson. Enlisting in the United States Army in 1962 serving until 1973, earning medals in the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict. Following his military career Ranald graduated from Hutchinson Community College. He then worked for the United States Post Office retiring in 2003. Ranald enjoyed all things hot rods, K-State sports, walking and anything his children and grandchildren were involved in . He was also a member of Eastwood Church of Christ. More than anything he loved to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren, always laughing and joking.
On March 11, 1966, Ranald married Ursula Wahl in Sandhofen, West Germany. They shared 57 years of marriage together.
He is survived by: wife, Ursula Miller, South Hutchinson; daughter, Claudia Holland, Pennsylvania, son, Ranald Miller, Jr., Iowa; daughters, Patches Meadows (Lyndon), South Hutchinson, Diana Krull (Jonathan),Missouri; twelve grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Jamie Prichard; brothers, Edgar Miller, Melvin Lacoe, and Brad Miller, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ranald was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Pearce.
Memorial service will be 10 am Friday, September 29, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary, with ministers Steve Hildebrand and Wayne Dewindt officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
