RENO COUNTY, Kan. — According to a post from Reno County Emergency Management, firefighters from the 8 rural Reno County fire districts, South Hutch, and Hutchinson Fire Departments attended quarterly countywide training Saturday morning. This quarter's topic was basic vehicle extrication.
Crews were able to practice with different types of rescue tools and were taught several different techniques to use in real life situations. A big thank you to Silas Enterprises for donating their lot and 4 cars for crews to cut up and practice on.
Another big thank you to Rescue Specialists from Salina for sending a rep out with a trailer full of demo tools for firefighters to try and test for possible future purchases.
