Christina Lee Walker, 41, died December 9, 2022, at Labette Health Hospital, Parsons. She was born May 21, 1981, in Tulsa, and was lovingly raised by her parents, Walter “Sonny” and Loetta (Niedens) Walker.
Christina had many hobbies and interests that she was passionate about and that provided her and her family with joy. She loved to collect bugs and showed all of them great care and empathy, even making a prosthetic leg out of paper for an injured grasshopper. Christina loved to draw, listen, and dance to music, write lyrics, paint, and was extremely meticulous with her art projects, many of which were sponsored by Tech, Inc.’s ALS program. Lime green and black were her favorite colors, and in Chrissy world, “camo” is a color. Christina loved all animals, especially her service dogs, Shasta, Lainey, and cat, Honey. Christina dearly loved to work, finding deep self fulfilment in “her job.” The MetalWorks & Dog Biscuits programs at Parsons State Hospital was a source of pride and delight in Christina’s life. Christina was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
She is survived by: her parents, Sonny and Loetta Walker, Hutchinson; sisters, Dayna Walker, Overland Park, Cristal Hiebert, Hutchinson, Bobbie Gilmore, Independence; nieces and nephew, Lindsey, Brandon, Riley, and Hailee; and sister-in-law, LaNell Walker, Kearney, Missouri.
Christina was preceded in death by her brother, Darin Walker and grandmother, Elsie Niedens.
