Joel Andrew Brubaker |1931-2023|

Joel Andrew Brubaker, 91, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at South Wind Home. He was born on September 27, 1931 near Sawyer to Everett James and Hazel Frances (Montgomery) Brubaker. Joel married Lorraine (Eller) Brubaker on August 15, 1953 in Rossville, Indiana. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2018.

Joel accepted Christ as a young man and became a member of Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Sawyer. He enjoyed farming, traveling, spending time with his family and South Wind family and socializing with people.

He is survived by his sons, Kent and Ann Brubaker of Sawyer and Michael and Renee Brubaker of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Kara Brubaker, Kami and Trevor Metzger, Kai and Kelsie Brubaker and Lexi and Cameron Epperson; great-grandchildren, Clay, Alli and Kit Metzger and Olivia Brubaker; brother in-law, Sylvan Eller of Clayton, Ohio; and sister in-law, Phyllis Brubaker of Roanoke, Virginia.

Joel is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine Brubaker; and brother, Donald Oscar Brubaker.

Visitation will be Friday, April 21, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Sawyer. Burial will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery, Sawyer.
