Fay Ann McMurray, 93, of Haven, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her home. She was born October 20, 1927 in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of Verteenes and Jennie (Bruce) Brunk.

Fay graduated from McPherson High School with the class of 1945.

She was a member of the Congregational Church, Haven, KS. She was very active in the church where she served on the board and sang in the choir. Fay also volunteered at the Haven Food Bank and was a member of the Haven La Cadena Club for over 60 years

Fay worked for Farmers Alliance in McPherson before marrying Rex. She then worked for Carey Salt in Hutchinson before starting her family. Once her children were in school, she went on to work for McMurray Accounting in Hutchinson for 53 years.

She was united in marriage to Rex Dale McMurray on June 6, 1952 in McPherson, Kansas.

Fay is survived by her children, Tod McMurray of Haven, and Denise (Bobby) Vanley of Haven; nephew, Sheldon (Pam) Brunk of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey; and niece, Michelle (John) Limon of Longmont, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Bruce and Gib Brunk; and nephews, Denny and Tim Brunk.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Laurel Cemetery with Pastor Janet Sutter officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Ott Funeral Home.
