HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The 22nd edition of Talk20 Hutch is set to spark inspiration and community conversation as 10 Reno County residents take the stage to share their passions, stories, and insights — all in a fast-paced, dynamic format.
The event, taking place at the Hutchinson Public Library, will feature presenters each sharing 20 images and speaking for 20 seconds per image on a wide range of topics. This unique structure keeps the presentations brief, engaging, and unpredictable.
Slated to present are:
- Glenda Boor, "20 Years of Dance at The Pointe"
- Kelly Clasen, "Writing for Kids: An Author's Journey"
- Hutchinson Public Schools
- Matty Mullins, "Back in Hutch and Delightfully Surprised"
- Keith Neill, "The Ulster Project"
- Thomas Simmons, "Turning Nightmares into Magic"
- Rachel A. Shannon, "Lions and Otters and Bison Oh My!"
- Jan Steen, "Getting Hooked on Cast Iron"
- Ron Sylvester, "Making Magic"
- Texas Hippie Chick, "Healing Through Art"
Past Talk20 Hutch events have covered everything from aviation and archaeology to life after a coma and placemaking. Organizers emphasize that the event is not a traditional lecture, but a gathering meant to foster curiosity, conversation, and connection.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and seating is limited to 250 people. For those who can’t attend in person, the event will be livestreamed via the Talk20 Hutch Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Following the presentations, guests are invited to continue the evening’s conversations at Sandhills Brewing in downtown Hutchinson.
