SOUTH HUTCHINSON Kan. — The South Hutchinson City Council kicked off the new year with the usual housekeeping chores. The Council appointed Matt Nisly as the city’s Mayor and the Council president is now Tyler Graves.
The Council then made the yearly appointments with all positions gaining approval. The appointments include new City Clerk Kara Nielsen and Police Chief Darrin Pickering who will begin his first full year in the position.
The Council also approved moving the meetings scheduled for January 18th and September 6th to the following Tuesday due to holidays.
