Traffic signals at 27th and Adams out for extended period

Posted Sep 29, 2020 8:00 PM

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Motorists who travel along North Adams near Morgan Elementary School need to be aware that the traffic signals at Adams and 27th are out.

Effective immediately, the intersection will be a 4-way stop. Stop signs have been installed.

Public Works says an underground cable has failed and bids are currently out to get a contractor to do the repairs. No timetable was given for when the work would be finished, but it will be an extended period of time.

Motorists are urged to use caution, especially around school zone times.
