Commissioners to continue budget discussions Tuesday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Budget discussions continue with the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday as part of their regular meeting.

The commission will hear requests from Tony Finlay, Hutch Rec Executive Director for the Arts & Humanities Council, Pam Paulsen, Reno County Extension Agent for the county extension office, Reno County 4-H Fair by Meghan Miller, Treasurer, and Jason Stallman, President-Livestock Sale Committee, Horizons Mental Health by Mike Garrett, Chief Executive Officer, Reno County Museum by Michael Ables, Executive Director and TECH by President Brenda Maxey.

Also on the agenda is a request for a Conditional Use Permit to establish a personal training and fitness studio at 4516 N. Kent Road and a discussion on fire management in Reno County by Dusty Tacha, USDA Rangeland Management Specialist. Sheriff Darrian Campbell will have a proposal to purchase new portable radios for deputies, EMS Chief Dave Johnston will have a Lease to Purchase for both a new ambulance and remount of an additional ambulance. The commission will also receive an update on solid waste from director Megan Davidson and discuss a resolution on user fees.

The Reno County Board of Commissioners will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the Reno County Annex Conference Room at 125 W. 1st Ave.
