HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College freshman Faith Jepchirchir has been named the Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the KJCCC announced on Tuesday.

Jepchirchir made history on Friday at the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic, becoming the first-ever Blue Dragon to win the individual title. She did so in a time of 18:17.00, the ninth-fastest time overall in the eight-year history of the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic.

Jepchirchir won the race by over 16 seconds over Elizabeth Hernandez of Butler.
