Hutchinson receives grant to update bicycle, pedestrian plan
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The City of Hutchinson has received grant funding to update its Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas awarded the funding through its Pathways to a Healthy Kansas initiative. The updated plan will focus on creating a safer and better-connected community while expanding opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to walk, bicycle and remain active.
Over the next several months, city officials will work with residents to identify priorities and potential improvements to Hutchinson’s bicycle and pedestrian network.
The city said additional information will be released about opportunities for residents to participate in the planning process and submit ideas.
