The City of Hutchinson has announced the seasonal opening dates for its splash pads as warmer weather returns to the area.
According to the city, the splash pads at Rice Park and Fairgrounds Park will open Monday. The Avenue A splash pad is scheduled to open Wednesday, following the completion of step repairs currently underway at the site.
City officials marked the upcoming openings with a message celebrating the return of summer activities in Hutchinson.
“The warm sun, slower evenings, flip flops, lawn chairs, popsicles, and the sound of kids laughing at the splash pad… summer is almost back, Hutchinson,” the city said in its announcement.
The splash pads are popular summertime attractions for families across the community and typically operate throughout the summer season, weather permitting.
