Hutchinson CC Sports Information
The No. 15-ranked Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team goes on the road for the first time this season for a pair of neutral site contests at the Barton Classic in Great Bend.
The Blue Dragons (3-1) take on Harry S. Truman College in Friday's 3 p.m. game. Hutchinson will meet NOC-Enid on at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the final non-conference game of the regular season.

Both games will be broadcast live on Blue Dragon flagship station KHUT-FM (102.9) and sister stations KWBW-AM/FM (1450.98.5) beginning at 2:45 p.m. each Day. Sean Boston (PBP) and Daren Dunn (color) will call the action on Friday. Dunn (PBP) and Dan Naccarato (color) will be the broadcast team on Saturday. Both games will be streamed for free on the Cougar Sports Network.
The Blue Dragons look to rebound for their first loss of the season - a 79-75 setback to Kansas City at the Sports Arena. The Dragons led by six points at halftime, but were done in by a season-low shot percentage and 18 turnovers. Mikhail Abdul-Hamid sank 5 of 7 shots from 3-point range to lead the Blue Dragons with 17 points. Jaquez Thornton finished with 16 points.
The Blue Dragons will meet Harry S. Truman for the first time ever on Friday. The Falcons (0-1) are a Division I Region 4 team based out of Chicago. NOC-Enid, Saturday's opponent, is off to a 4-1 start to the season.
The Blue Dragons will actually play three-straight games at the Barton Gym over a span of five days. After the Barton Classic this weekend, the Blue Dragons return to Great Bend on Wednesday to open Jayhawk Conference play against the No. 2-ranked Barton Cougars.
The Blue Dragons are currently ranked seventh in the KJCCC in scoring offense at 87.5 points per game. The Dragons are No. 2 in field-goal percentage at 50.9 percent. They lead the KJCCC in 3-point efficiency at 40.5 percent and are fifth in free-throw shootings at 73.9 percent.
The Dragons rank fifth in the KJCCC in scoring defense at 71.5 points per game allowed. The Dragons rank sixth in field-goal defense at 38.9 percent and is ninth in 3-point defense at 31.1 percent.
